Application and film thickness:

Application requires the skills of trained personnel and specialized equipment. It is applied by spraying/screed/extrusion method, even by hand scraper. The material is heated to an application temperature of 180°C to 220°C with a maximum temperature of 230°C. General marking thickness is 1.5-3.0mm (recommended thickness 2.0mm), consumption per square meter is about 3-5kgs according to different application method,thickness and situation of road surface.

Surface Preparation:

The road surface to be painted must be dry and free of any grease, oil, dirt, gravel, flaking pavement materials and any loose foreign material. The temperature of the surface should be above 10°C. If the surface has been previously marked or treated (such as the application of curing compounds with concrete) then a compatibility check should be carried out to establish if any surface preparation is necessary. The use of Primer has proven to be successful as a priming coat on surfaces where thermoplastic road marking Paint has experienced adhesion.

Storage:

Store under cover in a dry, cool, ventilation area, protected from moisture. Stock should be rotated and used within 12 months from the date of manufacture. Improper storage environment may lead to undesirable condition, such as changes in color, serious hardening and other problems.
