1.Description:
Major Elements System
Pure aluminum (aluminum content not less than 99.00%) 1XXX
Cu (copper) 2XXX Precipitation (or precipitation) Heat treatment
(aging)
Mn (manganese) 3XXX 20% stronger than 1xxx alloy
Si (silicon) 4XXX Aluminum alloys for welding
Mg (Magnesium) 5XXX Good corrosion resistance, welding properties
Mg+Si (Magnesium + Silicon) 6XXX Mg2Si is the main reinforcing
phase.
Zn (Zinc) 7XXX High strength alloy
Li (Lithium) 8XXX
Alternate group 9XXX
1XXX group indicates pure aluminum (its aluminum content is not
less than 99.00%), the next two digits indicate the lower aluminum
percentage content of two decimal places. The 2nd digit of the grade
number indicates the control of the alloying element or impurity
limit content. If the second digit is 0, it means that its impurity
limit content without special control; if 1-9, it means that one or
more of the individual impurities or alloying elements limit
content has special control.
The first two digits of grades 2XXX-8XXX have no special
significance and are only used to identify different alloys in the
same group, with the second digit indicating modification. If the
second digit is 0, it is the original alloy, and if it is 1-9, it
is the modified alloy.
Aluminum alloys can be classified according to whether they can be
strengthened by heat treatment or not:
Non-heat-treatable alloys: pure aluminum - 1000 series,
aluminum-manganese alloys - 3000 series, aluminum-silicon alloys -
4000 series, aluminum-magnesium alloys - 5000 series.
Heat-treated alloys: aluminum-copper-magnesium alloys - 2000
series, aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloys - 6000 series,
aluminum-zinc-magnesium alloys - 7000 series.
"-″: Hn or Tn after the state of work-hardening or heat-treatment
state of the chain symbols
Hn : Chain symbols for non-heat-treated alloys.
Tn : Chain symbol for heat-treated alloys.
2,Applications:Indirect extrusion is also called reverse extrusion or reverse
extrusion. In the indirect extrusion process, unlike in the direct
extrusion process, the blank is pushed through the mold, in the
indirect extrusion process, the mold is pushed toward the blank to
form the desired extrusion shape. The die is placed at the end of
the punch (hollow mandrel), the blank is placed into the container,
and then the punch is forced to move towards the blank, which
passes through the die to make the aluminum extrude.

4,Feature Advantage:The direct extrusion process is a simpler process that is usually
faster, making it more cost-effective to produce simple shapes. The
indirect extrusion process, on the other hand, allows for the
creation of more complex shapes and can produce parts with higher
structural integrity due to the uniformity of the material flow.
