High Temp Molecular Sieve 13x Msds Remove Mercaptans From Hydrocarbon Liquid Streams

13x Molecular Sieve Desiccant Remove Mercaptans From Hydrocarbon Liquid Streams

Introduction

Zeolite 13X Molecular Sieve 13X is kind of sodium aluminosilicate, with a pore opening of 9-10 angstroms (0.9nm). The main component of the X-type molecular sieve is aluminosilicate, silicon-oxy and alumina tetrahedron to form an FAU-type structure, as know as NaX-type.

Molecular Formula Na2O·Al2O3·(2.8±0.2)SiO2 ·(6-7)H2O
SiO2/ Al2O3 ≈ 2.6-3.6
Normal Pore Opening 10 Angstroms (Å)
Regeneration temp. (°C) 200-315
Advantages High Stability; High Crush Strength; Large Water Absorption; Low Attrition; Deep Dehydration

Application

Water, dioxide, hydrocarbons removal
General industrial gases drying
Gas purification in air separation process
Natural gas, liquefied petroleum, liquid hydrocarbons(propane, botane…) dehydration
Sulfur dioxide and mercaptan removal
General gas (such as compressed air, permanent gas) deeply drying
Ammonia synthesis gas drying and purification
Aerosol propellant desulfurization and deodorization
Carbon dioxide removal from cracked gas

Regeneration:

Molecular sieve Type 13X can be regenerated by either heating in the case of thermal swing processes; or by lowering the pressure in the case of pressure swing processes.
To remove moisture from a 13X molecular sieve, a temperature of 250-300°C is required. A properly regenerated molecular sieve can give moisture dew points below -100°C, or mercaptan or CO2 levels below 2 ppm.
The outlet concentrations on a pressure swing process will depend on the gas present, and on the conditions of the process

Attention

Pls avoid damp and pre-adsorption of organic before running, or it must be reactivated.
