Product Introduction
The steel-edged rubber water stop strip is a type of water stop
strip characterized by its excellent sealing performance and
adaptability to extremely large deformation amounts. It has been
widely applied both at home and abroad in the deformation joints of
various facilities, such as water conservancy projects, dike
culverts, tunnels and subways, and the basements of high-rise
buildings. It effectively prevents leakage between building
components, thus ensuring the quality of the projects.
Product Performance and Waterproof Features
The steel-edged rubber water stop strip has thin plates on its two
wings. When it is bonded with concrete, the steel plates on both
sides have a firm adhesive force with the surrounding concrete
structure, as well as between the steel plates and the rubber. When
the structure deforms, only the rubber part deforms, being
stretched and thinned, while there will be no new leakage between
the steel plates and the concrete, or between the steel plates and
the rubber. Therefore, the steel-edged rubber water stop strip
enhances the anti-seepage performance of the structural
deformation.
The waterproof principle of the steel-edged water stop strip is
that, first of all, the rubber section in the middle is compressed
or stretched between the deformation joints of the concrete,
playing the role of sealing and water stopping. On the other hand,
the steel strip has a good adhesion to the concrete, enabling the
water stop component to withstand relatively large tensile and
torsional forces. This ensures that the water stop component will
not loosen or fall off within the effective deformation range of
the concrete, improving the water stopping effect.

Product Structure
The steel-edged rubber water stop strip product (as shown in the figure) has an optimized geometric shape and dimensions. Its structure is that galvanized steel strips are inserted on both sides of the rubber body, and a composite body composed of the steel strips and rubber is formed through the heat vulcanization process. Installation holes with a diameter of 3mm are set at an interval of 30mm from the two outer sides of the steel edges. These holes are used for hoisting and fixing the water stop strip with iron wires (or holes can be drilled according to the actual situation during installation).
