When the voltage applied to both ends of the varistor is less than its varistor voltage, the varistor is equivalent to an insulation resistance above 10MΩ; When an overvoltage greater than the varistor voltage is applied to both ends of the varistor, the resistance of the varistor drops sharply and presents a low resistance state, thus quickly guiding away the charge and effectively protecting other components in the circuit from overvoltage and damage.
