The car steering switch is a control device installed on the car steering wheel and used to control the vehicle's turn signal. When the driver turns the steering wheel, the steering switch changes the circuit connection to control the flashing and working status of the left and right turn lights.

The working principle of the steering switch can be divided into the following steps:

When the steering switch is in a state where the position light is not turned on, the left and right turn signal light contacts are not connected, and no operating current is delivered to the left and right turn signal light circuits, so the left and right turn signal lights cannot be put into operation.

If the position light contact is connected, but because the lighting switch is not turned on, no operating current is delivered to the position light through the position light contact, so the position light cannot be put into operation.

When the steering switch is in the left or right steering position, the left or right turn signal light contact is connected, and operating current is delivered to the left or right turn signal light. The operating current comes from the flash relay, a turn signal switch, and a left or right turn signal. The signal light is grounded.

At this time, the left or right turn signal light circuit is communicated, the left or right turn signal light has operating current passing through it, and is put into work. The left or right turn signal light flashes rhythmically, sending out a left or right turn signal.

At the same time, the contact point of the position light is disconnected. Since the lighting switch is not turned on, the position light is not put into operation. Therefore, the contact point disconnection and connection of the position light at this time has no practical significance.
