How does a preheater work?
In it the heater element rotates. As the heater element contacts
the hot flue gas, it heats up and the flue gas cools. Then, when
the heater element makes contact with cold air, the heater element
is cooled and the air is heated. In an ideal regenerative air
preheater the flue gas and air do not mix.
