The application of Litz Wire in high-frequency transformer windings is mainly to reduce the eddy current loss of high-frequency current and improve energy transmission efficiency.

In high-frequency circuits, the current is mainly concentrated on the surface of the wire, resulting in increased resistance losses.

The Litz wire is composed of multiple strands of filament wire, and each filament wire has its own winding path, so that the current can be evenly distributed throughout the conductor cross-section, reducing the current density, thereby reducing resistance and eddy current losses.

The special structure of Litz wire gives it the following advantages in high-frequency transformer windings:

Reduce eddy current losses: The multi-strand thin wire structure of the Litz wire can reduce eddy current losses in high-frequency circuits, reduce the generation of resistive heat, and improve energy transmission efficiency.

Reduce Joule heat: Because the Litz wire can evenly distribute current, it reduces the generation of resistance and Joule heat, thereby increasing the power density of the high-frequency transformer.
