APC series is an antibacterial and antimicrobial protection for powder coatings. The antimicrobial additive provides life-long protection against bacteria, mould and other harmful microbes.
According to the supplier, it will not alter the colour or appearance of any powder coating, requires no maintenance, nor does it have to be re-applied. The product prevents the growth of harmful bacteria by releasing silver ions upon contact with moisture. These ions prevent the bacteria from multiplying. The additive has been used in many different formulations providing antimicrobial protection for the active life of the coating.
