Excimer 308-nm light is a form of targeted phototherapy that delivers a specific wavelength (308 nm) of ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation using an excimer laser or an excimer lamp. Both have shown similar results regarding efficacy, but have technical differences.

Excimer light treatment is a development of whole body narrowband UVB. Narrowband UVB delivers energy at a wavelength between 311–312 nm for the treatment of localised psoriasis and vitiligo. The disadvantages of narrowband UVB include irradiation of the whole body (even if the psoriasis is localised) and the need for a high number of treatments (usually between 15 and 40 sessions).

Treatment Principle

Cl atoms and Xe atoms in the sealed handpiece form the unstable XeCI excimer under the action of high frequency electric field, and this excimer is extremely unstable to naturally radiate 308nm single wavelength excimer light in the process of transferring from quasi-molecular state into atomic state, which is mainly used for psoriasis, vitiligo and other diseases treatment.

The irradiation intensity of 308 phototherapy apparatus is 35mW/cm2, 308 excimer power is 10 times bigger than a normal UVB lamp. the treatment time and cycle are much shorter.

Operation

1. Operator Wear the goggles
2. Check the instrument after turning on the power.

4. Calibration Enter calibration interface, do the calibration operation.
5.MED test For a new patient, no need MED test for re-visit patient.
6.Treatment Set an irradiation dose according to MED value, make the treatment probe close to the skin to treat.
