Introduction:
IMO ISO5658-2, ASTM E1317 IMO Flame Spread Tester is used for the combustion characteristics of building materials,
high-speed train materials, and ship materials.
IMO ISO5658-2, ASTM E1317 IMO Flame Spread Tester measures the flame spread speed, ignition heat and total heat
release according to distance and CEF (critical heat radiation
flow).
This test method is used to evaluate the burning characteristics of
test objects installed vertically in accordance with ISO 5658-2 and
IMO Res.653.
The test object is exposed to the appropriate heat dissipation area
given by the gas combustion type of the heat sink, and then when
combustion occurs, the signal value is measured in mV using a
calibrated thermocouple.
In addition, the ignition time is also recorded and the flame
burning time of the test object is recorded according to the
distance of the test object, and the flame spread speed is also
recorded.
Other test items include ignition heat (MJ/m2), continuous
combustion heat (MJ/m2), critical heat radiation flow (kW/m2),
average heat of continuous combustion and total heat dissipation
(kW).

Features:
1. IMO ISO5658-2, ASTM E1317 IMO Flame Spread Tester consists of four main components: a set of radiant plate holders
and a set of sample holders. At the same time, connect them
together so that the test sample, the radiant plate, the sample
holder, and the pilot burner form the required structure;
2. The radiant panel provides a radiating surface with a size of
about 480 mm X 280 mm, and a wire mesh screen is provided in front
of the radiating surface to increase the radiance;
3. Use a blower to provide the air source for the radiant panel,
and use a frequency converter to adjust;
4. Adopt propane mass flow controller to adjust the gas source,
cooperate with the Venturi mixer to mix with air, and provide the
combustion gas source required by the radiant panel;
5. It provided a multi-hole calibration plate and a sliding heat
flow meter moving track, which can detect whether the heat
radiation flux meets the standard requirements;
6. Water-cooled heat radiation flux sensor is used to measure the
heat radiation flux curve of radiant panels;
7. Portable water cooling circulation device, which can take away
the surface heat of the heat flow meter;
8. The ceramic tube burner can directly act on the surface of the
test sample with an open flame;
9. Adopting rotor flowmeter adjustment method, which can provide
ceramic tube burner with mixed combustion gas;
10. The mass flow controller can easily measure the heat of methane
by measuring the critical heat flux;
11. According to IMO test standards, thermocouple devices can be
provided to measure related parameters such as heat release rate;
12. Methane calibration burner and methane mass flow controller can
provide 1KW and 3KW flame temperature;
13. During the test, the camera can observe and save the
measurement status in the program;
14. The Flame Spread Properties Test Equipment is equipped with an
angle-adjustable observation mirror, the flame spread rate can be
observed through the glass mirror and sample rake during the test,
and can be automatically recorded by the foot switch;
