Grade 316LN Stainless Steel Coils/Strips
Precision stainless steel strips are widely used in various sectors
of the national economy such as industry and civil due to its high
strength, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance,
processability and service performance, wear resistance and good
appearance.
With the advancement of science and technology, stainless steel
strips application fields are still expanding and extending, and it
has spread all over major industries such as aerospace,
petrochemicals, automobiles, textiles, electronics, home
appliances, computers, and precision machining, etc. The demand for
products also grow rapidly.
316(1.4401)/316L(1.4404)/316LN(1.4406) STAINLESS STEEL
The main difference between AISI 316 (1.4401) stainless steel and AISI 316L (1.4404) stainless steel is the carbon content. The "L" stands for "low carbon" content.
Due to the lower carbon amount, AISI 316L (1.4404) stainless steel has a reduced risk of sensitization (grain boundary carbide precipitation). Yet, at the same time, it loses some of its strength.
AISI 316LN (1.4406) stainless steel is alloyed with nitrogen to compensate for the loss of strength.
