Standard for the construction of plastic racetracks

1. The standard runway is 400 meters long and consists of two parallel straights and two curves of equal radius. Except for grass runways, the inside of the runways should be made of a suitable material with a convex border division of about 5cms wide and at least 5cms wide.

2. The length of the runway should be measured 30cms outside the convex edge inside the runway. If there is no convex edge, the length should be measured 20cms outside the outside edge of the mark line.

3. For all track events of 400m and below, each athlete shall have a divider with a minimum width of 1.22m and a maximum width of 1.25m. The divider width is 5cm and all dividers shall be the same.

Prefabricated Athletic Track Instructions:

1. After ensuring that the foundation is flat and the vertical and horizontal slopes meet the drainage requirements of the stadium, pre-lay lines for the foundation of the site.

2. Within the runway line planned to be laid on the day, place the required rolls in length units of each roll.

3. Stir the required base adhesive within one hour on a controlled site.

4. Use a special cart to transport the stirred adhesive out of the required site and scrape it evenly.

5. On the basis of laying the coiled material and scraping the glue, spread it flat and longitudinally according to the line, and then compact it with a special roller.

6. Prepare polyurethane elastic material on the laid TPU coil, stir it evenly according to the ratio strictly, and spread the surface reinforcement layer according to the required thickness.

7. After the reinforcement layer is cured, mix the surface glue and glue, and use the runway sprayer to spray the surface layer on the whole site.

8. After the surface layer is completely dry, mark the runway boundary and clean up the site.

Basic quality requirements

Plastic runway construction is based on asphalt or cement, and the basic practice is roughly the same as road construction. The foundation surface requires good flatness, so as to ensure the consistency of the thickness of the plastic surface layer. The quality requirements for the plastic runway foundation are as follows.

(1) Slope: transverse < 1% (curve 8%, straight 5%, semi-circle 5%), longitudinal < 1%, jump area less than 0.4%, the surface should be smooth, smooth drainage.

(2) flatness: flatness qualified rate of more than 95%, 3 meters straightedge measurement error is not more than 3㎜.

(3) Positioning: In order to accurately construct and draw lines, the four semi-circular tangents and two circular centers of the runway site should be firmly and distinctly marked.

(4) Drainage: The drainage system must remove water two hours after a heavy rain. In frozen areas, it is better to add a buffer layer of geotextile between asphalt layer and gravel layer. Special waterproofing should be done along the foundation of the drain trench.

(5) Strength and stability: the foundation should have a certain strength and stability, the surface is uniform and solid, smooth without cracks, no rotten edge pile squeezing, no pockmarked surface, smooth and smooth joints without obvious height difference. The cushion is compacted with a density of more than 95%. After being pressed by a medium roller, there are no significant tire marks and loose float soil.
