Emergency LED tubes provide 120min of emergency lighting in the event of a power outage. Designed throughout to provide an energy efficient, bright alternative to T8 emergency fluorescent lamps, LED emergency lighting solutions deliver new levels of performance brought by solid state lighting technology to a wide range of new and retrofit applications with impressively high system efficiency and reliability. Extended runtime and minimal light output degradation accommodate a variety of applications where the duration and illumination level are important.

The emergency lighting system consists of an AC driver that converts electric power from a line voltage supply (over a universal input range between 100VAC and 240VAC) and regulates DC output current at up to 850 mA with power factor correction (PFC) and total harmonic distortion (THD) control. A universal input emergency LED driver that is fed from the same branch circuit as the AC driver works in conjunction with the AC driver to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the LED tubes. This emergency driver is comprised of a high-temperature, maintenance-free lithium battery, charge controller and electronic circuitry. The electronic circuitry automatically detects the voltage level of the AC input. When an absence of AC power is detected, the circuitry switches from mains operation to emergency operation in less than 2 seconds. Upon restoration of AC power the electronic circuitry will automatically switch the LED load back to AC driven mode and the emergency LED driver will return to the charging mode.
