The Use Of Rotary Drum Precision Filter
Drum type precision filter is a simple mechanical filtration
method. It is suitable for the separation of micro-suspended solids
in liquids, mainly phytoplankton, zooplankton and organic residues,
to achieve the purpose of purifying liquids or recovering useful
suspended solids. The fundamental difference between
microfiltration and other filtration methods is that the total pore
size of the stainless steel mesh or microfilter is very small and
thin. Such filters feature relatively low hydraulic resistance and
large flow rates, and the retained suspended solids tend to be
smaller in size than the pores on these filters. Drum type
precision filter is a water treatment equipment based on this
principle.
Drum type precision filter is an economical water treatment
equipment. It can be used for industrial water filtration,
circulating cooling water filtration, wastewater purification,
sewage treatment and other raw water filtration in water plants,
power plants, chemical plants, textile printing and dyeing, paper
mills, etc. A typical example of the use of rotary drum precision
filters to recover useful suspended solids in liquids is pulp
(fiber) recovery of papermaking white liquor. The liquor can be
recycled and used after recovery and purification to meet the
emission standard.

Equipment Advantage
A. The filter screen is made of 316L stainless steel, which is
non-toxic, non-polluting, no chemical cleaning, and has a service
life of not less than 10 years. The filter screen is woven from
316L stainless steel through fibrillation technology, and then
seamlessly welded and fixed on the stainless steel rib with
advanced spot welding technology.
B. The filter is easy to replace. Each set of equipment consists of
8 independent arc segments, each segment can be easily disassembled
and assembled, so there is no need for special tools and equipment
when replacing the filter.
C. Backwashing consumes less water. The backwash water volume of a
single unit is 60m3/d, the backwash water volume and the system
sewage volume are small, which reduces the burden of subsequent
treatment of polluted wastewater.
D. The treatment effect is good. The stainless steel filter screen
is used, and the filter pore size of the filter screen is 10~200µm,
and different pore sizes can be selected according to the
requirements of the effluent. So as to ensure the water quality and
water stability.
E. Strong shock load resistance. The equipment can operate normally
when the influent SS is not higher than 40mg/L.
F. Filtration can run continuously. Continuous filtration is
possible while backwashing.
G. Small head loss. not more than 0.3m.
H. Low energy consumption for operation. The main drive motor and
the backwash pump motor have low power and operate intermittently.
The operating cost is about 0.002 yuan/ton of water per day.
I. Run fully automated controls. Filtration, backwashing, etc. are
all controlled by the program, and are equipped with multiple
protections, and no special personnel are required for daily
operation and management.
J. Small footprint. In the case of the same amount of treated
water, the footprint of the filtration equipment is much smaller
than that of other filtration process equipment.
