We propose you Dioctyl terephthalate (bis(2-ethylhexyl) benzene-1,4-dicarboxylate, DOTP). It is obtained by esterfication of terephthalic acid with 2-ethylhexanol. DOTP is used as a plasticizer in all kinds of polymers and plastics.

It is an excellent candidate to replace DOP (dioctyl phthalate) which was banned from the European market. The plasticizing effect of DOTP is equal to that of DOP without having the negative properties, i.e. migration, health risk that come along with the use of DOP as plasticizer.

Handling: Provide adequate ventilation and keep away from spark, excessive heat and ignition source. Storage: Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.

The storage temperature should be lower than 45°C, the viscosity will be increased significantly when the temperature fall below 15°C, if the temperature lower than 5°C, it would become creamy solid and can recovered to normal appearance while the temperature is restored to 25-40°C.
