Remark :

1. 2024 aluminum rod belongs to high strength duralumin, which can be strengthened by heat treatment. It has medium plasticity in quenching and hardening states, good spot welding and tendency to form intergranular cracks in gas welding. The machinability of the alloy after quenching and cold hardening is good, but the machinability after annealing is low, and the corrosion resistance is not high. Anodizing and painting or aluminum coating are often used to improve the corrosion resistance.

2. 2024 is mainly used to produce various parts and components with high load (but not including stamping parts and forgings), such as skeleton parts, skin, baffle frame, wing ribs, wing SPAR, rivets and other working parts below 150℃ on aircraft
