Sizes through 3/16 -inch thickness are produced from coiled product; larger sizes of at least ¼-inch thickness are produced as true bar. The 304 stainless flat bar is easily machined, stamped and welded, with strength, corrosion resistance and a finish that is easily cleaned. The 316 stainless flat bar is made of marine-grade stainless, which improves corrosion resistance. Stainless flat bar is useful in the construction of structural supports, motor and engine components, and components for the food service and medical device industries.
