Compared with centrifugal fans, axial flow fans have the following main characteristics:

The axial flow fan is better than the centrifugal fan in terms of weight and flywheel effect value. The axial flow fan allows the use of higher speed and higher flow coefficient, so under the same air volume and wind pressure parameters, the rotor of the axial flow fan is lighter, that is, the flywheel effect value is smaller, so that the starting torque of the axial flow fan is greatly smaller than the starting torque of the centrifugal fan. Generally, the starting torque of axial flow supply and induced draft fans is only 14.2~27.8% of centrifugal fans.
