Heavy Tungsten alloy Pipes are also called tungsten alloys because they weigh more than twice as much as iron or steel. High specific gravity tungsten alloys are usually refractory metals with two-phase complexes composed of W-Ni-Fe or W-Ni-Cu or even W-Ni-Cu-Fe. Some tungsten alloys add rare earth and/or other metals, such as Co, Mo and Cr.
