1. Description:

A great variety of ceramics have been successfully sintered using microwaves over the past 30 years: structural ceramics (Al203, ZnO, SiC, MgAl2O4, Y–PSZ, Y–TZP/Al2O3, TiO2), bioceramics (hydroxyapatite), functional ceramics (ZnO,BaTiO3), composites (MgO–Y2O3, ZrB2–B4C, WC–Co), magnetic ceramics (Ni–Zn ferrites), translucent or transparent ceramics (AlN, MgO, ALON)… Details can be found in various review papers (Das et al., 2009; Karayannis, 2016; Katz, 1992; Oghbaei and Mirzaee, 2010).
