Royal jelly is also called royal jelly and bee jelly. It is a mixture secreted by the head vegetative glands and upper jaw (collectively called the royal jelly glands) of the young (3-15 days old) worker bees. It is a milky white or light yellow pulpy substance with a sour, astringent, spicy and slightly sweet taste. It is rich in nutrients and some unexplained substances. Among them, 10-hydroxy-decanoic acid is only contained in royal jelly, so it is also called royal jelly acid. It is named because royal jelly is the life-long food of the queen bee. The life span of a queen bee is generally 3-5 years while that of a worker bee is generally 60 days. The only reason for the huge difference between the two is that the queen bee eats royal jelly all his life, because royal jelly is rich in protein, amino acids, vitamins, lipids, sunflower acetic acid, trace elements folic acid, acetylcholine, nucleic acid and other vital substances.

About Royal Jelly: How do you know the quality?

Good quality royal jelly must meet 4 requirements:

1. The color must be light yellow to yellow. the fresher the color, the lighter yellow it is. But long time transfer without
freezing, that will make the color change a little .

2. The taste must be more spicy, stronger plain taste, after that you can feel a little sweet. If no so strong taste but more
sweet or plain taste, that might not be of good quality or 100% pure Royal Jelly.

3. The 10-HDA must be at least 1.4%, if lower than this content, that's certainly not a good quality. 1.8% and 2.0% are already very good quality in Royal Jelly. We also have 1.4%, 1.6% and other types.
