Metal Cold Rolled Crc Odm Design U Shaped Channels

U-shaped channels or cold-rolled channels (CRC) are fixed to stud bolts by clamps or welds, and are one of the most common alternatives for resistance to rotation of stud bolts and smaller shafts under wind and breakage bending. The lateral support is usually installed at up to 48” OC to obtain the proper spacing. Please consult our company’s technical services. Caution:

  • Clip Angles must be used with screws to brace cold-formed framing properly. U-Channel does not provide proper bracing if it is not adequately attached to the framing member.
  • Extreme care should be taken in the quality of the weld. If the weld burns through or does not penetrate, the U-channel will not be effective.
U-shaped channel used in ceiling components
The U-shaped channel is used for the ceiling assembly by hanging it on the elevated structure using a hanging wire. Drywall, scale channels are usually tied with clipping metal scale channel clips or wires, perpendicular to the U-shaped channel and the screws attached to the masonry wall are properly spaced on the lower side.
