Overhead pole mounted primary metering unit
This type metering box for outdoor dry-type three-phase primary metering unit, combined by three single phase transformers medium voltage measuring transformer assembly, each combination of single-phase combined CT&VT contains 1 set of CT coil and 1 set of VT coil, adopting alicyclic epoxy resin (CEP) vacuum pouring solid encapsulation, Cyclic epoxy resin (CEP) vacuum casting solid encapsulation, with excellent insulation performance and hydrophobicity, the surface is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, pollution, and UV. It’s suitable for outdoor overhead line is connected to the public power system installation. The meter box is equipped with a meter box under the installation base of the metering box. The high and low voltage integrated anti-theft design is fast and easy to install. It is suitable for electrical energy metering, current and voltage measurement in urban and rural power distribution network lines with a maximum voltage of 36kV and below.

2.Function and application:
Overhead pole mounted primary metering unit comply with the latest applicable industry standards and local and/or national electrical regulations (such as IEC, IEEE (ANSI), CAN, GOST, CEF). It is used for three-phase overhead power grid energy measurement management and distribution network automation management system. The primary side measurement is more accurate, and the power loss of the line can be effectively measured to reduce losses
3.1The medium voltage transformer of the metering unit is composed of 3 single-phase combined transformers, which saves installation space. There is a meter box under the installation base. The high and low voltage integrated anti-stealing design can be installed directly and convenientlyon the pole outdoors.
3.2 The metering unit is equipped with a meter box and connected to
the transformer connection. The meter and communication module
installation space are reserved in the box, and the meter box door
switch, proximity sensor, data debugging port, conversion switch,
and door lock seal structure are reserved. To prevent electricity
theft .
3.3 The meter box body is made of corrosion-resistant alloy
aluminum or low-carbon steel hot-dip galvanized, and the sealing
design is weatherproof, acid and alkali corrosion resistant, and UV
resistant.
3.4 The medium voltage combined transformer is insulated with epoxy
resin solid encapsulation, the surface is dirt-resistant,
UV-resistant, has excellent dielectric and mechanical properties,
no oil, no gas, and maintenance free, meeting the requirements of
safe operation and environmental protection
3.5 The CT of the medium voltage combined transformer can be
configured double transformation ratios, and it is convenient to
set the conversion switch to change the transformation ratio. The
VT is equipped with anti-short circuit and overload protection
design to avoid burning and explosion caused by VT short circuit
and overload.
3.6 The primary connection is connected with NEMA contact strips
and wiring clamps. The wiring terminals of the corresponding area
can be configured according to requirements, and lightning
arresters can be selected as required.
