Product features :

Francis turbines can be designed for a variety of heads and flows. Coupled with its high efficiency, it has become the most widely used turbine in the world. In contrast to Pelton turbines, Francis turbines are always in the best condition of being filled with water. Turbines and outlet channels can be placed below external lakes or sea levels to reduce the tendency for cavitation.

In addition to electricity production, they can also be used for pumped storage. During low power demand, the water tank is filled by a turbine (acting as a pump), the turbine is driven by a generator, and the generator acts as a large electric motor, and then reversed to generate electricity during peak demand . These pump storage pools act as large energy storage sources, storing "excess" electrical energy in the form of water in elevated storage tanks.
