IE2 Motor Description

IE2 series motors with the mounting dimension by standard IEC60034 have good features like optimum structure, attractive appearance, low noise, high efficiency, high protection class, and high insulation class. Therefore, YE2 series motors can be widely used in various kinds of general use machinery like fans, pumps, machine tools, compressors, transportation, and so on, and can also be used in hazardous areas with oil and chemical, steel plants, mining industry.

• Site conditions

IE2 series motors are suitable for almost all applications and operate satisfactorily at temperatures from -20℃to +40℃and altitudes up to 1000 meters above sea level

• Temperature and Insulation

The Maters' insulation system is designed by Class F(155℃), operated with Class B(80K), which increases the motor's useful life and reliability.

• Cooling and ventilation

The standard cooling method is Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) by IC411 of IEC60034-6. Standard motors are equipped with radial-flow plastic fans.

• Protection class

The standard degrees of protection are IP55. The IP55 enclosure means complete hose proof and dustproof protection. A higher degree of protection is available.

• Motor protection

Motors can be installed with PTC, PT100, such as winding and bearing temperature measurement, and other kinds of protection on request.

• Voltage and frequency

Standard voltage and frequency are 380V 50HZ and can be wound for any single voltage in the range 200-660V at a frequency of 50. The motors will operate satisfactorily with variations of ±5% from the rated voltage.

• Vibration

YE2 motors are designed for vibration class A; vibration class B is available on request.

• Terminal box location

The terminal box at the top or right of the frame is the standard YE2 motor.

• Quality assurance

Stringent quality system observed from the first design to finished products by the ISO9001 documented quality system.

High-efficiency motor features

(1) High efficiency, IE2 is 3% higher than IE1 on average, and IE3 is about 5% higher than IE1 on average.
(2) We Need to use more high-quality materials. IE2 motor cost is 25% -30% higher than IE1, and IE3 motor cost is about 40% -60% higher than IE1.
(3) Due to the lower operating temperature and longer motor life, maintenance costs can be reduced.
(4) The starting current is larger under typical design conditions.
