Product Description
The 5000 series of aluminium alloys represent 5052, 5005, 5083 and
5A05 series. The 5000 series aluminium bar belongs to the more
commonly used alloy aluminium plate series, the main element is
magnesium, the content of magnesium is between 3-5%. It can also be
called Al-Mg alloy. Its main characteristics are low density, high
tensile strength, high elongation and good fatigue strength, but it
can not be strengthened by heat treatment. In the same area, the
weight of Al-Mg alloy is lower than that of other series. It is
also widely used in conventional industry. In our country, 5000
series aluminium sheet belongs to one of the more mature aluminium
sheet series.
5083 is used for occasions requiring high corrosion resistance,
good weldability and medium strength, such as welding parts of
naval vessels, automobiles and aircraft plates; pressure vessels
requiring strict fire protection, refrigeration devices, TV towers,
drilling equipment, transportation equipment, missile components,
armor, etc.
