1. 316L hex nut

2. How are 316L nuts manufactured?

The threads are created using cold forging process. High pressure rollers are used to press in the threads. The nuts and bolts are then heated and cooled in oil rapidly, which increases its strength but makes it brittle. To remove brittleness, the nuts and bolts are heated at a lower temperature.
