STS as Standard Transfer Specification was built as prepayment metering algorithm standard in early 1990s in South AFrica. After that, there are more than 50 million pcs STS prepaid electricity meters globalwide. However STS with water meter is still new. Calin is one of the pioneers who has successfully migrated STS technology from electric to water meter. The CA568 is a multi-jet wet type, prepaid water meter. It assures you of continuously good metrology and revenue protection at the same time. The meter shuts off when water credit drains up or the meter is being tampered with magnetic or other damage. Customer always need to purchase credit before the supply is restored.

To top-up or recharge the water meter, a consumer just need to purchase 20 digits' credit token from the vendor and punch in the code with the CIU. The CIU is installed in customer's premise, it is kept away from the meter reduce the risk of tamper and fraud proof, customer can know the meter's data credit status and historical usage date from the LCD of CIU. This split type mechanism serves best in tamper rampent areas. Any mess with CIU will not damage the meter while the CIU is in wireless connection with the meter.
