Silica fabric with 80-90% silicate content is able to withstand continuous heat below 800°C. It is woven in satin weave type. Area weight of this high temperature cloth is 1200g/m2 (35oz/sq.yd). Thickness is 1.2mm. Standard width is 91.44cm (36 inches).

Due to its heavy duty properties and great heat insulation, silica fabric is widely used in industrial fields like welding protection. And its application includes machine, equipment and workers welding sparks shield covers, fire blanket, thermal insulation blankets for refineries, foundries, power generation and petrochemical factories.
