Compared with DIP products, the advantages of SMD products are as
below:
1. Better color mixing effect: SMD requires higher soldering
technology and more mass production processes than DIP, and 3 chips
are packaged in a small cup, which makes the pixel spacing between
the 3 chips smaller. Therefore, SMD has a higher color ratio than
DIP LED, better color mixing effect, and closer viewing distance.2.
Due to the small chip size of SMD lamps, the energy required for
operation is lower, which will save about 30% compared with DIP LED
displays.3. The chip size is smaller, taking up less space, and
special installation technology enables us to produce higher
density displays. Our recently launched P4 SMD indoor LED display
has proved this.4. SMD lamps have less materials and no longer feet
than DIP LEDs, which will make the screen lighter.5. Wider luminous
angle: DIP lamps mainly use "U" type lamp cups, and the chip
position is always at the bottom of the "U", so since SMD will
encapsulate the chip on the surface of the lamp cup, its luminous
angle is smaller than that of SMD lamps.
