General Requirements

1 Qualification:

Connectors furnished under this specification shall be capable of meeting the qualification test

requirements specified herein.

2 Material:

2.1 Plastic Housings: UL94V-0

2.2 Contacts: Copper Alloy

2.3 Shield: Copper Alloy

3 Finish:

3.1 Contacts: Gold Selectively Plated

3.2 Contacts: Nickel Plated All Over

3.3 Reference Customer Drawing for Contact Solder Tails

3.4 Shield: Tin or Nickel Plated All Over

4 Design and Construction:

Connectors shall be of the design, construction and physical dimensions as specified on the

applicable product drawing and TIA 1096. In case of conflict between this specification and

product drawings, the drawings shall take precedence. 50 minch (1.27 mm) gold plated

connectors compliant with TIA 1096 specifications.

5 Examination of Product:

Connectors shall meet all specified dimensions of product drawings and internal workmanship

standards. There shall be no evidence of cracking, chipping, contamination or loose parts when

inspected, without magnification, to the unaided eye.

6 Ratings:

6.1 Current: 1.5 amperes maximum at 25°C

6.2 Voltage: 150 VAC maximum

7 Minimum Number of Mating/Unmating Operations:

7.1 Performance Level 1: 750 Cycles

7.2 Performance Level 2: 2500 Cycles

8 Minimum Number of Cable Re-Terminations:

8.1 Refer to application drawings
