Most traditional cleaning agents, sealants and emulsion polishes currentlyavailable on the market will meet some of these criteria. However notall criteria will be satisfied and at best for only for a limited time.With the use such products after a while the floors will eventuallytinge, discolour, dirt will build up at the edges and dirt will becomemore difficult to remove - including the dreaded scuff marks - Result- floors require to be stripped back and retreated again and again -sometimes twice or three times a year.

Wooden surfaces treated with varnishes and resin type seals give longerprotection - but these too have to be removed either using a solventbased product or by sanding. Both these damage and shorten the lifeexpectancy of the wood floor.
