Isoprene

The isoprene is produced using crude C5 from Ethylene cracker by removing lighter fractions, purifiedby solvent extraction. The products are classified polymeric grade and chemical grade.

Boiling Point: 34.1oC

Flash Point: -53.89oC

Spontaneous Ignition Point: 220oC

Explosive Limits (V/V): 1.5-9.7%

Appearance: Colorless or Light yellow transparent combustible and explosive liquid.

- Applications: Isoprene is a very important C5 diolefine, it is mainly used in synthetic rubber, plastics, and other synthetic materials. Also can be used to produce perfume, pesticide, medicine, and other fine chemicals,for example,Pyrethroid,Linalool,Isophytol, and Vitamin E.

- Packing/Transportation/Storage

Packing: In bulk or drum with capacity of 200 litres.

Transportation: To be transported as first class dangerous articles, bulk deliveries of tank car.

Storage:  Store it in a place with low temperature and good air circulation. Keep away from direct sunlight,heat source,and fire. Do not store for extended periods to prevent polymerization.
