Product features: Spandex Covered Yarn, just as its name implies, elastic thread wrapped with yarn. Elastic yarn is commonly known as SPANDEX (OP), whose feature has high flexibility and stretch as rubber. However, its tensile strength, tensile stress, wear-resistance, aging resistance and chemical resistance are much more excellent than rubbers. Spandex (proportion of about 5-20%) is used to blend with other major types of hard yarns. Types of hard yarns for filament include nylon filament yarn, nylon textured yarn, polyester fiber and artificial silk. As to spun yarn, there are cotton, acrylic and rayon etc.Major types for spandex covered yarn are conventional covered yarn and air-jet covered/intermingled yarn. Main production: Conventional Covered Yarn Spandex fiber (OP) as a core, set with different draw ratio, in a way of wrapping with different types of hard yarn to cover spandex fully, and make fabric well-protected during washing process so as to prolong life of fabric. Common specifications are single covered and double covered yarn. Application: socks, woven cloth, plain knitting and circular weaving.
